Full-Time Web Developer with Graphic Design capabilities

Mountain High Media, a Charlottesville VA – based advertising and design agency is seeking an experienced web developer to join our team. This position involves leading custom web development throughout the entire project life cycle. You will experience the freedom of building custom and template based websites using your design, programming and project management skills. Our web developers are capable of full cycle project involvement including application architecture, design input, site layout/user interface and database design/programming.

Web Developer Job Duties:

The role is responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to a client’s specifications. Strive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.

Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, advanced web functions and be up to date on current industry standards.

The position requires constant communication with colleagues.

Ability to handle site mapping and wire framing for both internal and client facing purposes.

Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API’s.

Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.

Understanding the benefits of SEO and the development skills to support SEO and SEM.

Ability to communicate directly with peers, managers, and clients while leading development to a completed, timely and successful solution.

Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of clients’ timelines and budgets.

Minimum Skills and Requirements:

3-5 Yrs Experience in the Industry, previous agency and/or team experience is preferred.

Wordpress customization and development, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP/MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, Cross-Browser Compatibility, Responsive Design and Functionality, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Knowledge and Principles, various web related API’s

Experience with E-Commerce solutions and content management platforms

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software including but not limited to Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Muse and ReFlow or other equivalent applications.

 

Bonus Points for:

Drupal, Joomla, or Expression Engine experience

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products

MAMP/WAMP Development

Linux server stack experience preferred, comfortable with Apache, DNS, and Linux in general

Google Analytics
